Micheal Benjamin Bay, born on the 17th of February 1965 (52 Years Old) is an american film director and producer. He is an adopted child of Harriet And Jim Bay. At the Age of 15 his career began to gross, he interned with George Lucas and impressed him with his film “Raiders Of The Lost Ark” He then went on a decided to become a film director. He graduated from Wesleyan University in 1986, majoring in English and Film. He began his career by working in the music video business, and created music videos for popular singers like Tina Turner, Meat Loaf and Lionel Richie, and won MTV award nominations.
His First movie venture was bad boys he then went on to follow it through with The Rock His Armageddon which grossed over $533 million worldwide. But then he had another film called pearl harbour which lead his fan base and audiences on to be disappointed. He used this setback as a step forward into the right direction to become a better director.
The film Pearl Harbour Was released in 2001 and was about how japan staged a surprise attack on England. It was poorly rated. 1.5/4 Roger Ebert // 25% Rotten Tomatoes // 3/5 Empire. This was a wake up call for Micheal bay as he had a big downtime in his career as this was sought to be the worst film he has ever made.
He then went on to team up with Scott Gardenhour and went on to form the Institute Of Development Of Enhanced Perceptual Awareness.
This company is a film and television production/distribution studio which was founded in 2001. This company went on to produce FIVE Films That got good reviews Three Out of the Five Which are in progress. The Gentleman Shaver, The Reformed Troglodyte, Hamlet: The Fall Of a Sparrow(In Progess), Thesus (In Progess), Hansel & Gretal In 3D (In Progress). Then he teamed up with Steven Spielberg to Produce Transformers. Transformers was the boosting point of Micheal bays career and he will always be referenced to explosions and fast cars. For people that do not know what transformers is, It is a multi million dollar film that launched the careers of Micheal Bay And Steven Spielberg.
Transformers is a film about two sides that was once at piece and have divided ( auto bots and deception. One fighting For Peace and one fighting for Power and revolution. this film has even created its own brand and has had multiple TV Show remakes and many toys, replica and has inspired many people around the world. Because of this the creators/directors (Micheal bay and Steven Spielberg) of transformers have had their careers pushed all the way to the stars because of the smart yet basic film idea that they had all came up with, created and made a reality.
Micheal Bay Went on to win FIVE MTV Movie awards for “Transformers”, “Pearl Harbour”, “Bad Boys II” and “The Rock”. This is where he is at a high point in his career and could never been doing better.
During the beginning/mid-point in his career, he attended Art Center College Of Design in Pasadena for his graduate work. After This Post Graduation. Bay began working at propaganda films, directing commercials and music videos. His video was then noticed and the used, Which was his 90-second World War 2 Inspired Coca Cola Advertisement.
His commercials won him major awards including Cannes’ Golden lion and Grand Prix Clio. In 1994, Bay Received an award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement In Commercials From the Directors Guild of America.
The Majority Of Micheal Bays personal Life Remains a mystery. He clamied that he was the ilelgitimate child of a popular 1970s director, and that Director John Frankenhiemer was his biological father, however a DNA test returned negative.
He has been seen and associated with Playboy model Jaime Bergman and Cara Michelle. But is supposed to be single. He lives in Miami, Florida, with his two bullmastiffs, Bonecrusher and grace. his dog mason appeared in the film transformers.
A Funny fact about Micheal bay is that at young age he decided to get his mums 8mm camera and attach firecrackers to a small toy train and film it as a young boy as he did this, his mum was furious and called the fire department and he was later on grounded.
